PKA Members Win Big at Pacific Raceways
Brian Green and Steve Ely hit the jackpot at the inaugural U.S. Nationals Extreme Karting Event at Pacific Raceways in Kent Washington. The World Formula Heavy event saw Brian and Steve trading the lead through out the race, Steve took the lead on the final turn edging out Brian by less than a kart length. The World Formula Heavy event appeared to be a replay with the same exciting nose to tail racing except this time Brian took the lead on the final turn edging out Steve by less than a kart length.
Team Hegar enjoyed a great day of racing with family and friends at the inagral US Extreme national presented by Pacific raceway. Entered in the 125 stock moto class and the two open 125 classes Chris and Ryan Hegar's NGK, Shark Shifters sponsored karts ran flawless all day with only minor handling adjustments required to each of the four chassis brought with them. Solid competition came calling from top competitor Aaron Stanford and crew. Aaron fought slight motor problems all day but still managed some great top finishes at the event. Three firsts and one second place finish guarantees the Hegar brothers will make the return trip to the 2011 Extreme national. Special thanks to Pacific Raceways and longtime team Hegar tuner and head mechanic Terry Hegar for all his efforts over the years. Great event and good times for all!
