Rod Powell from The Ridge Motorsports Park has offered a saturday within the next three weeks for kart testing (no specific date). $3000. Not sure whether that covers corner workers and/or emergency personnel but the opportunity is there if we want it.

I dont want to spend much time on this if we cannot quickly get 15-20 serious takers or perhaps a lesser number with fat wallets. I dont have kart club money to put towards losses so unless we get some interest...

I spoke with Rod Powell today. He wants to provide us an inexpensive and dry track day after our lousy rain race. The price is still $100 which is VERY inexpensive. Spread the word to those not on the forum since we need a good turnout.

He will be keeping an eye on the weather forecast and will make the call mid week prior if the chance of rain is too high. We will announce it here on the Forum.
It is possible or even likely that we'll trade sessions with motorcycles if the kart turnout is insufficient to cover expenses - Rescue, Flaggers and Insurance.

I spoke with Kart-o-Rama. Roger intends to be there.

Hi gang, as Blair said, what we are trying to do is get you guys out on the track when it is not a monsoon.

Would love to see all Karts, then you would have the day to yourselves, and likely get sick of driving.

This event will be "revenue neutral" as they say, in that The Ridge does not want to make a profit, we merely want you to see what we have to offer. Believe it or not, yours was the only race event rained out all season. And we feel obliged to at least try and get you some decent, dry track time.

At any rate, stay tuned. As Blair said, we are watching the weather closely. As of today (Saturday, Oct 27th) there is 40% chance of rain, according to the weather channel. Notorious Liars, that bunch at the Weather channel

And, believe it or not, we actually get less rain days in Shelton that Seattle. We get more inches, that is true, but actually less days, as the clouds do not pass over Puget Sound and recollect moisture.

You can always park the day before, no worries.

"Chance for a bit of rain or drizzle" and is showing Friday and Sunday pretty good so it may end up being OK for Saturday
